WHY SHOULD I USE RABBIT HOLE HAY?

HIGH QUALITY HAY FOR YOUR RABBIT

Haley at 101Rabbits only uses the BEST hay for her rabbits. Rabbit Hole Hay is HAND-PICKED and visually INSPECTED to make sure you are getting the HIGHEST QUALITY hay that is fresh, green, and fragrant. Each harvest of hay is TESTED to make sure it contains the best nutrient  levels.

VIRTUALLY NO WASTE

Ebony is a picky bunny and used to only eat about half of her hay from other leading retailers. Now she LOVES her Rabbit Hole Hay! Because this hay is much BETTER quality, there is virtually NO WASTE. The extra cost is WORTH IT!

SAY GOODBYE TO DUSTY HAY

No longer worry about your rabbit suffering from irritated eyes or sneezing from excessive dust. Rabbit Hole Hay is HAND-PULLED and bundled from the bale creating nice LONG STRANDS and less small pieces, ELIMINATING DUST.

UNIQUE VARIETIES TO MEET YOUR RABBIT'S NEEDS

ULTRA PREMIUM COARSE TIMOTHY HAY

Coarse Timothy Hay contains mostly stems, long seed heads, and leaves. This grade of hay comes from the FIRST HARVEST of Timothy Hay or an exceptionally coarse second harvest. The key to this grade of premium hay is that it’s made up entirely of coarse stems and leaves.

Coarse Timothy is ideal with helping wear down a rabbit's teeth because it has a rougher texture than the other cuts. It has a lower protein level and higher fiber is great for keeping your rabbit's digestion regular and functioning.

ULTRA PREMIUM MEDIUM TIMOTHY HAY

Medium Timothy Hay contains mostly thin stems, short seed heads, and broad flat leaves. This grade of hay comes from the SECOND HARVEST of Timothy Hay or a beautiful first harvest that was on the softer-side.

Medium Timothy is easier for rabbits to eat because of it being moister and softer than Coarse Timothy. It holds a higher protein level and lower fiber than Coarse Timothy as well. It's also fantastic for keeping your rabbit’s digestion regular

ULTRA PREMIUM SOFT TIMOTHY HAY

Soft Timothy Hay contains mostly leaves with very few stems or seed heads. This grade of hay comes from the THIRD HARVEST of Timothy Hay or an exceptionally soft second harvest. Stems, if any, will be thin and occasional seed heads will be short. The key to this grade of premium hay is that it is made up almost entirely of soft leaves.

While the softness of our Soft Timothy Hay is what makes it popular, it lacks the coarse fiber important to maintain dental health. If you are feeding your rabbit exclusively Soft Timothy Hay we recommend you mentioning this to your vet so that they can keep an eye on their teeth. Investing in chew toys, such as Apple Sticks, or mixing in some coarse hay such as Coarse Timothy Hay can also help maintain healthy teeth.

ULTRA PREMIUM SOFT ORCHARD GRASS

Allergic to Timothy Hay?
Allergies, especially to Timothy Hay are common (you aren’t alone!). Soft Orchard Grass can be a wonderful alternative for you and your small pet while still getting them all the important nutrients they need. In our experience, people who are allergic to Timothy Hay are LESS ALLERGIC to our Soft Orchard Grass.

Soft Orchard Grass is the softest hay available, making it popular with PICKY EATERS. It is high in fiber and low in protein and calcium.

As your small pet gets older, softer feed may become more and more of a necessity. Yet, it’s important to make sure they have some coarse hay in the mix to help them continue to have good dental health, this is why we recommend mixing in some Timothy Hay into your Soft Orchard Grass.

ULTRA PREMIUM MOUNTAIN GRASS

Mountain Grass is made up of a variety of wild grasses that grow in a mountain meadow. Typically it has leaves that are fine and coarse in texture with almost no stems. It is high in fiber and low in protein and calcium.

Haley recommends using Mountain Grass as a TREAT HAY.
